From Classroom to Cockpit: Students Try Flight Simulations

Last Saturday, a group of our students participated in an educational visit to the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps, enjoying a well rounded programme of guided tours and practical experiences. The day began with visits to the Civic Education Room and the Cadets’ Centre, where students were introduced to basic aviation concepts and the principles of team training. They then proceeded to the VR suite to try flight simulators, gaining first hand insight into the excitement and technical challenges of piloting an aircraft.

 

The visit offered valuable opportunities for experiential learning: students expanded their understanding of the aviation field, observed how teamwork and discipline are applied in practice, and experienced immersive technology used in training. Overall, the activity was both informative and inspiring, and students returned with renewed interest and deeper appreciation for careers and skills related to aviation.
