Positive Education Seminars
Date: 15/12/2025
Our school hosted two engaging parent seminars in September and November, led by Mr. Kwok, a service supervisor from the Positive Education Laboratory at City University of Hong Kong's Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The seminar topics were: “How to Leverage Character Strengths to Foster Authentic Happiness and Confidence in Children” and “How to Help Children Navigate Setbacks Towards Success.”
The first seminar, “How to Leverage Character Strengths to Foster Authentic Happiness and Confidence in Children,” focused on the theoretical foundations of character strengths, practical applications, and communication techniques to help parents connect more deeply with their children.
The second seminar, “How to Help Children Navigate Setbacks Towards Success,” included discussions on the principles of positive education and growth mindset, along with practical strategies for parent-child communication. This seminar aimed to equip parents with tools to face the highs and lows of their children’s development.
Mr. Kwok, our speaker, shared his extensive experience in an engaging and humorous way, seamlessly combining theoretical insights with relatable life examples. Parents were actively involved, taking notes and capturing key moments, and many expressed that his insights were incredibly valuable to their parenting journey.
