Building Connections Through Learning: Guangzhou Sister School Trip

Last month, 20 Secondary 5 students from our school travelled to Guangzhou Zhongshan Whampoa School for Hong Kong and Macao Students to take part in the Guangzhou Sister School Learning Exploration Trip. The experience was both enriching and highly rewarding.

 

Throughout the visit, students participated in a STEM academic exchange themed “Innovation for the Future.” They joined local students in lessons, took part in guided discussion, and collaborated on website development—sparking creativity and encouraging innovative thinking. Students also enjoyed a martial arts experience, gaining a deeper understanding of the concept of “integrating martial arts and medicine” and developing a greater appreciation of the rich heritage of Chinese culture.

 

In addition, both schools attended a sister-school cooperation signing ceremony, laying a strong foundation for future exchanges and long-term collaboration.

 

Overall, the trip broadened students’ horizons, strengthened connections between learners from both regions, and created lasting, unforgettable memories.
