Embarking on a New Secondary School Journey | S1 Orientation Program Recap
Date: 22/09/2026
The 6-day Secondary 1 Orientation Program (August 19–25) has successfully come to a close! Through a rich variety of experiences, our new students took their very first steps into secondary school, brimming with energy and confidence. The exciting moments over the past few days have laid a solid foundation for their upcoming school life:
Integrating into the Family: By learning about our school history, school song, flag-raising ceremony, and prayer etiquette, our freshers gained a deeper understanding of our school's traditions and culture, building a strong sense of belonging to the RCPHKMC family. Guided by senior schoolmates and teachers, students also explored every corner of the campus through a "Campus Scavenger Hunt."
Self-Directed Learning & Routines: Students experienced bridging lessons across various subjects, learning "3Cs Active Learning," mindfulness, and the Pomodoro Technique to cultivate effective study habits.
Diverse Exploration ("Rhenish’s Got Talent"): Introducing the " Rhenish’s Got Talent," uniformed groups, and school sports/arts teams to encourage students to discover their personal interests and potential.
Teambuilding & Cohesion: Through an adventure training day camp and inter-class competitions, students built strong camaraderie and forged precious friendships.
A Heartwarming Closing Ceremony: A special inter-class performance competition was held during the orientation, evaluating classes on assembly discipline, learning routines, lunchtime etiquette, and team games. The Principal, Mr. Tang, presented awards to the outstanding classes, followed by group photos to mark a perfect conclusion.
Though they have been part of the RCPHKMC family for less than a month, our students have already shown boundless courage and potential. May everyone continue to try new things, unleash their strengths, and grow and shine together!
